Location and characteristics of the vineyard
Lena di Mezzo is an entirely terraced estate of 18 hectares that lies in the heart of Fumane, a splendid hilly zone with tufaceous, clay and limestone soils, in which we have sought to express to the full the interdependence between the terroir and the indigenous grape varieties that are the unique heritage of the area around Verona.

The grapes are picked around first part of October and then
they stay about 15 days in cases for drying.
After a drying grape process in small cashes, destemming and soft pressing. At first comes the fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, than the wine stays some months in 30 hl oak casks before it is bottels and rests at least 5 months before the official sale.
A dry red wine.

Notes of cherry and spices like black pepper and liquorice.
