Description

Grape variety:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot.

Location and characteristics of the vineyard:
Mascarpine vineyards are in the municipality of Sommacampagna, south-east of Lake Garda

Soils: Average altitude and composition:
altitude 100-150 metres above sea level. A hill of glacial origin with limestone, clay, gravelly and sandy.

Guyot

Harvest:
Beginning of October

Vinification:
Soft pressing after destemming. Fermentation in steel tanks with frequent immersion of the skins into the must to extract polyphenols. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine is aged for 1 year in small french oak barrels. It ages in the bottle for about 6 months before being going to market.

Organoleptic description
Deep ruby ​​red.
Fine tannins, elegant, spices aromas, liquorice and vanilla.
Full-body and pleasantly harmonious in the mouth. Long finish. Drink now and has beautiful potential of aging for 10+years.

Pairing:
Excellent with roasts, grilled meats including lamb, New York strip and filet mignon or pepper –crusted ahi tuna. Also delicious with aged cheeses.
