Description

Grape variety:
Merlot

Location and characteristics of the vineyard:
The vineyards are located in the municipality of Sommacampagna south-east of Lake Garda.

Soils: average altitude and composition
100/150 meters (328/492 feet) a.s.l., of morainic origin with calcareous, clayey and gravelly soil.

Training system:
Guyot

Harvest:
Beginning of October.

Vinification:
Soft pressing after destemming. Fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled
temperature. Fermentation in steel tanks with frequent immersion of the skins into the must to extract polyphenols. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine is bottled and released to the market.

Organoleptic description:
Red Garnet.
Fine tannins, elegant,  fine notes of lavender, fruity aromas such as red plum, blackberry and cherry.
Full-body and pleasantly harmonoius in the mouth. Long finish. Drink now. Excellent.

Alcohol by volume:
13.5%

Suggested Pairing:
Excellent with hamburgers, braised shrot ribs, spicy cajun jambalaya and filet mignon. Also delicious with cold cuts, pasta and medium-aged cheeses.
