Reviewed by Zekun Shuai, Senior Editor at JamesSuckling.com, our Lugana reaches the 90-point threshold that the platform defines as “outstanding”.
Founded in 2010 by American wine critic James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com reviews wines from the world’s major wine regions, including Italy, Bordeaux, Champagne, California, Australia, Germany and Austria.
Its international team of wine critics uses a 100-point rating scale. According to JamesSuckling.com, wines scoring 90 points or above are classified as “outstanding”.
Our Monte del Frà Lugana DOC 2025 received 90 points, accompanied by the following tasting note from Zekun Shuai:
“The pale color offers a contrast to the monolithic, pronounced nose of green gooseberries, limes, guavas, green herbs and kiwis. Not complex but refreshing, with a touch of tightness. Scented, medium-length finish. Generous and approachable. Drink now.”

Our Lugana DOC is made from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes grown in the heart of the Lugana denomination, on the southern shores of Lake Garda.
Our vineyards are located in Sirmione area, where the influence of Lake Garda and soils rich in clay and silt contribute to Turbiana's distinctive character.
This unique environment gives our Lugana its freshness, sapidity and elegance: qualities that allow the wine to express the identity of its place of origin while maintaining an immediate and approachable character.
Receiving 90 points from JamesSuckling.com is particularly meaningful to us because it brings the identity of our Lugana and the territory where it is born to an international audience.
