There are five family selected 'cru' wines: these are small productions that embrace a philosophy aimed at enhancing the territory of origin in its most extraordinary forms.
Known worldwide for its extraordinary characteristics, Cà del Magro is the most renowned Custoza wine by Monte del Frà. The desire to improve and hard work in the cellar brought us to create this truly superior wine. Following the principle of "less is more", Cà del Magro narrates the unique story of its 55 years old vineyard.
The path to creating this long-living Garganega from Custoza was a passionating challenge that found fulfillment in 2006 thanks to an antique vineyard in Oliosi. A special tecnique applied in the vineyards help concentrating grape characteristics after they have reached maturity. This is a luxurious wine that allows reinterpreting the style of Custoza.
The most distinguished among the Custozas of Monte del Frà: the Bonomo Sexaginta grapes sprout on a vineyard cultivated on highly mineral moraine soil. It is the result of a long experimental process that helped us to determine which barrels and timeframes are required to find the perfect blend of the Garganega, the Bianca Fernanda, and the Trebbiano Toscano. This is a luxurious, complex, and intellectual wine for table hedonists.
This Bardolino owes its enhanced characteristics to the antique vines of an exceptional vineyard and vinification in huge barrels. Hyper oxidation exalts fruity and floral nose typical of the Corvina, the Rondinella, and the Molinari grapes, leading to a wine rich in new impressions.
The Amarone Scarnocchio comes from the highest and longest-lasting vineyard of Lena di Mezzo. The Scarnocchio terroir translates into this complex Amarone Riserva, rich in balsamic mountain pine notes. It tells the story of dark soils and Valpolicella's characteristic extreme weather conditions. A true 'Cru'.
