Equalitas – Sustainable Winery Certification

For the Bonomo family, sustainability touches every part of life at Monte del Frà, from caring for our vineyards and building meaningful relationships to making thoughtful decisions about our winery's future.

This commitment has earned Monte del Frà the Equalitas – Sustainable Winery certification, which evaluates wineries across three essential pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic responsibility.

More than a recognition, this certification gives us a way to measure our progress, evaluate our impact, and identify opportunities to keep improving.

SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR EVERYDAY CHOICES

Biodiversity and Soil Health

Protecting the environment is part of our everyday work. In our vineyards, we follow SQNPI-certified integrated farming practices, promoting biodiversity, helping prevent soil erosion, protecting pollinators, and preserving the surrounding rural landscape.

Maintaining natural ground cover and managing native vegetation between vine rows also helps protect the soil and support the vineyard's natural balance.

Woodlands and the Landscape

Our commitment to the land extends beyond the vineyards. Monte del Frà preserves woodlands and natural areas that enrich the landscape of the Verona hills and provide valuable habitats for local wildlife and biodiversity.

Energy and Resources

Alongside our work in the vineyards, we've invested in improving energy efficiency, generating renewable energy, managing water responsibly, and reducing the environmental impact of our winemaking operations.

Solar panels and ongoing monitoring of energy and water consumption are practical ways we continue to make progress.
