Corvina Veronese IGT paired with Maccheroncini and Beetroot Cream

This stunning establishment is not only a restaurant but also a charming B&B nestled between the blue waters of Lake Garda and the lush forests of Monte Baldo. The agriturismo is run by Natalino, Filippo, and Giovanni (formerly the family’s grandfather’s farmland).

In this captivating setting, we were enchanted by one of their traditional dishes: fresh pasta, served this time as maccheroncini, paired with beetroot cream, gorgonzola, and Grana cheese infused with basil. This dish was expertly complemented by our Corvina Veronese IGT.

The fresh, fruity notes of the red wine blend seamlessly with the creamy gorgonzola, while its medium-bodied structure perfectly balances the dish’s intense flavors.

Corvina Veronese IGT celebrates the pure essence of the Corvina Veronese grape, expressing the full characteristics of the morainic soils of Lake Garda. A long maceration followed by steel aging brings out delicate notes of cherry, red fruits, and a distinctive spiciness, which pair beautifully with the earthy flavors of traditional rural cuisine.

A glass of Corvina Veronese IGT pairs wonderfully with charcuterie, meats, and semi-aged cheeses. It’s especially delightful with grilled meat and can be enjoyed at 15°C alongside grilled fish. It’s also suitable for those following a vegan diet.
